From the sprawling rice fields of Bali to the rugged peaks of Borneo, each Spa journey reveals a path towards greater harmony. Guiding guests to a more holistic way of life, Inaria Spa uses recipes and customs handed down through generations to create authentic remedies from indigenous fruits, herbs and roots.

“We are pleased to introduce Inaria Spa to our guests,” said Anil Pathak, General Manager of InterContinental Jakarta Pondok Indah. “With its holistic treatments, coupled with our exclusive range of spa and skincare products from Juara, guests can expect a naturally luxurious journey that rejuvenates the mind, body and soul.”

Creating space for positive transformation, Inaria Spa offers an opportunity for healing and revival that resonates long after leaving the treatment room. The Spa’s holistic approach is designed to tune into physical, emotional and spiritual states, promoting an organic healing process.

To enhance the authentic balance between body and soul, Inaria Spa has announced a harmonious relationship with JUARA, where herbal tradition meets botanical science. Inspired by JAMU, the herbal healing tradition of Indonesia, JUARA combines ancient beauty rituals and herbal medicinal practices with the best of modern science to create a luxurious and indulgent problem-solution range of skincare and body care products.

JUARA has been developed by Metta Murdaya, Yoshiko Roth, Jill Sung and Tami Chuang, who shared a vision to develop an elegant, effective, and socially conscious skincare line combining their Eastern and Western cultures to embody the natural beauty and inner strength of women.

“We chose the name JUARA because it means ‘winner' and ‘champion’ in Bahasa,” states Ms. Murdaya. “The name embodies our commitment to help women champion their natural beauty, and it also signifies the spirit and values that compelled us to create JUARA: to be champions of our own destiny by being true to who we are. As a diverse team of multi-cultural, eternally curious people, we believe that every woman is born a champion and born naturally beautiful. Our mission is to help empower her to let her natural beauty and personal confidence shine.”

Featuring high concentrations of powerful and exotic active botanicals, such as turmeric, kombucha, clove, tamarind, candlenut oil, healing teas and red sandalwood, JUARA combines time-honoured recipes for skin health and wellbeing with the best modern skin care innovations to deliver treatments of the highest quality. With luscious textures that nourish the skin, captivating scents that delight, and products that deliver results while promoting balance and radiance, JUARA provides a lavish Indonesian spa escape. Some of the exclusive treatments of Inaria Spa featuring JUARA include:

‘Varee’ and the soft power of touch

Our name ‘Cenvaree’ is a portmanteau of two words that pay homage to ‘Centara’. ‘Cen’ is taken from the first few letters and ‘varee’ is a Sanskrit word meaning ‘water’. (The ‘tara’ in Centara also translates to water in the Thai language). Softness and nurturing are not normally associated with power. And yet, look at the amazing impact a gentle drip of water can have – it can move rocks, shift mountains and create its own path. This innate strength, acquired through gentleness, embodies the healing touch of SPA Cenvaree-trained therapists and allows our guests to emerge transformed.

The Cenvaree Difference

What sets us apart?
Simply put: We Care. We care about our guests, we care about our team members and we care about the environment. SPA Cenvaree has many loyal customers who continue to return because of how they feel during and after a spa treatment. In our corporate office, we have several full-time spa trainers who focus 100% of their time educating, teaching and motivating our therapists in massage techniques and how to make a difference to our guests. SPA Cenvaree therapists are trained not just in the physical elements of spa therapy, but also in attention to detail and anticipating guest needs. It’s often the little things that create memorable experiences: the light caress of a cool cotton sheet, the haunting tone of a singing bowl, hypnotic music at just the right volume and a therapist with excellent therapy skills who truly cares.

At the start of your treatment, your SPA Cenvaree therapist will bow their head, still their mind through breath-work and say a silent ‘thank you’. This allows them to forget about external stimuli, focus 100% on your treatment and become in-tune with your body. This might sound a bit airy, but in a country with thousands of spas, something that sets SPA Cenvaree apart is that we really do try to create a special experience for each of our guests.

So, come on a journey with us through Thailand and South Asia and explore over 60 therapies. Indigenous herbs, floral extracts, fresh ingredients and aromatic oils provide the background for some truly amazing experiences. Whether it’s flower-scented body scrubs, traditional Thai spa rituals, muscle-melting body massages or heavenly facials, SPA Cenvaree has you covered from head to toe.

Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas Joins IHG®

Sharing its Passion for Wellness, Community and Sustainable Travel

MANGKOK – February 13, 2019 – Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas is bursting with news: it has become part of the IHG family of brands. (IHG®) (InterContinental Hotels Group) is one of the world’s leading global hotel companies with a growing number of luxury brands including InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, Regent Hotels & Resorts and Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants.
IHG purchased the award-winning hospitality and wellness company from private equity fund Pegasus Capital Advisors for USD 300 million. The sale includes the management of 16 hotels and resorts, 37 spas and sister companies Evason and Raison d’Etre. Following the acquisition Six Senses is now expected to grow to 60 hotels within the next 10 years.

“This is an exciting new era for Six Senses,” said Chief Executive Officer Neil Jacobs. “IHG believes in our purpose to merge the two platforms of wellness and sustainability to promote personal health, and the health of the planet. Joining forces with IHG means we can use a wealth of systems and operational excellence to grow our brand and reach new markets without losing our quirky personality and playful touch. It’s been a great pleasure to work with Pegasus over the last six years and we would never have reached this milestone without their vision and deep involvement.”

Over the next 12 months, Six Senses will open properties in surprising locations. From the private island of Krabey in Cambodia, a circuit of five lodges in Bhutan, to a 14th-century-old restored fort in Rajasthan. The dream list also includes a desert hideaway in Israel’s Negev Desert, the transformation of a series of 19th-century mansions in Istanbul and the group’s first project in North America, a contemporary duo of twisting towers designed by Bjarke Ingles located in Manhattan’s West Chelsea neighborhood and along the High Line. Additional projects are currently under way in Austria, Brazil, Mainland China, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan and Thailand.

Although Six Senses took its first (barefoot) steps on remote beaches and tropical hideaways, the people behind the brand have shown that purposeful travel and emotional hospitality is not formulaic. It can be successfully replicated across a diverse property portfolio, which includes a 19th century quinta (wine estate) in the UNESCO heritage-listed Douro Valley in Portugal and two sister hotels in Singapore’s Chinatown. The model can be adapted and still retain all the sustainable commitments for which Six Senses has become the industry inspiration.

IHG’s Chief Executive Keith Barr said, “IHG’s growing portfolio of luxury brands is a collection of the very best in the travel industry. Each one offers something unique to our guests, and together they offer an unparalleled choice of locations and experiences. We’re incredibly proud to welcome Six Senses in to our family of brands and look forward to opening more stunning hotels, resorts and spas - each one staying true to Six Senses’ world-renowned reputation for wellness and an unwavering commitment to purposeful travel.”

The beating heart of every Six Senses property is a Six Senses Spa, working in harmony with each hotel and resort to create a depth of personalized wellness support. Each spa offers a menu of Six Senses signature treatments and therapies plus locally-inspired specialties, yogic programs and a range of feel-good pamperings. Skilled therapists are drawn from all over and Six Senses’ Visiting Practitioners bring an extra depth of knowledge to each spa guest.

Unique to the hospitality sector, Six Senses has taken wellness out of the spa and integrated it into the entire stay for guests: from the food they eat to the way they sleep. Sleep With Six Senses, Eat With Six Senses and the latest Grow With Six Senses childrens’ initiative have all been highly successful in helping people (young and young at heart) to learn something new and reconnect with themselves, others and the world around them.

Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas includes 16 award-winning resorts and hotels around the world. The newest addition to the portfolio, Six Senses Krabey Island, opens on March 1, 2019 in Cambodia. The resort features 40 well-appointed villas all with private plunge pools.

A variety of exhilarating experiences are available across all 16 hotels and resorts in the Six Senses portfolio. In Oman at Six Senses Zighy Bay, guests can arrive by air and paraglide into the 82 all-villa resort.

Six Senses offers a variety of wellness programs across all 37 spas. Guests can tap into the good vibes, ground breaking sleep standards, vitality-boosting menus and pioneering wellness integrated into every moment of their stay.
